Our latest F1 In Schools team competed in this year’s regional final, held at Venue Cymru in Llandudno. Team members Michael Medenica, Jackson Carlton-Ash and Callum Ackerman formed Neutron Racing in 2022. They have been working hard designing and manufacturing their race cars alongside seeking sponsorship and developing a series of presentations in preparation for the regional final.
The competition at regional level is split into four areas of discipline. Racing, verbal presentation, enterprise judging and engineering experience. Neutron Racing were nominated for four awards and won two. Best Pit Display and Best Engineered Car. The team are now waiting to see if they have qualified to compete at this year’s National Final.
During the awards ceremony where Neutron Racing collected their two awards, Lord Barry Jones congratulated the team on their success.
