Connah’s Quay High School is celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results, with significant improvements across key measures and exceptional performances across a broad range of subject areas.
Outstanding results have been achieved across a range of subjects, including PE, Construction, Hair and Beauty, Hospitality and Catering, Health and Social Care, GCSE Art and Design, Textiles and Religious Studies.
English Language and English Literature have achieved their strongest results since before the COVID-19 pandemic, representing a significant milestone and reflecting the sustained hard work and commitment of our learners and staff.
James Forber, Executive Headteacher, said:
“These are excellent results and an important moment for Connah’s Quay High School. I am immensely proud of our learners and of the significant improvement evident across the school.
“Our English outcomes are particularly pleasing and represent some of the strongest results we have seen for a number of years. We have also seen outstanding performances across a wide range of subjects, reflecting our commitment to a broad and ambitious curriculum which recognises the different talents, interests and aspirations of our young people.
“These outcomes reflect the determination of our learners and the expertise, commitment and high expectations of our dedicated staff. I would also like to recognise the invaluable support of our parents and carers.
“There is a clear and positive trajectory at Connah’s Quay High School. Standards are rising, expectations are high and we remain ambitious about what our learners and our school can achieve.
“Today belongs to our young people. They should take enormous pride in their achievements, and we wish them every success as they take their next steps.
